Good Fly and the Texas Council of FFI are hosting a Gathering of Casting Instructors on Sunday, November 10, 2024. This is an opportunity for all instructors to spend a day sharpening their skills, instructing and casting. We as instructors spend a lot of time working with students and often neglect the fact that we need to be learning new instructional and casting skills that will improve our ability to serve our clients. We have gathered a world class set of instructors to present on topics we all can use.

CI Certification Track
Offering critical instruction for
CI Candidates and those interested in becoming a CI.

Overview of the CI Exam.

Individual feedback on casting and instructional skills.

The afternoon session will be more hands on casting skills with the MCIs.

Master Class level instruction from MCIs - Q&A and Hands on learning.

Instructor Track
Open to CIs, MCIs, and other Instructors
(guides, shop owners, industry professionals).​​

In the Morning: 2 Sessions led by 2 different MCIs. on specific topics.

The afternoon features a Cast Around - MCIs will observe the participants casting and assess what hands on skills they can improve.

Master Class level instruction from MCIs - Q&A and Hands on learning.

The 2024 Round Up After Party and Live Auction
Join us Saturday (the day before The Gathering) for the Round-Up Festival followed by an evening of Food, Fellowship and and Fundraising. Your ticket to the After Party will include Food, Drink, Live Music, The bar opens at 4:00 as we watch the sun set over Lake Prescott while listing to the musical musings of Bruce Sublett.
Dinner will be served at 5:30 with the live auction to follow at 7:00. We have a great line up of items this year including curated fishing trips trips, new and vintage gear.
All proceeds benefit Good Fly.
